Conquest - Kharg Island Jet Team Work

very nice find tek, no reason at all why we can't do this. I want to try this out

Heat seekers

Gunner
Auto loader

guided missile

Let's try this TOMORROW! we need to figure out a definitive set up before a game in a pre-game lobby and then get a recon on the ground to spot targets.

two possible jet set ups:
LEAD JET:
-Maintenance
-Extinguisher
-Rocket Pods

FINISHING JET:
-Air radar
-Extinguisher/Flares
-Rocket Pods

Some useful strategies:

-The Lead jet:
+Sets up strafing runs
+Spots and designates targets to engage
+leads enemy jets on it's tail for the finishing jet

-The Finishing jet:
+Finishes targets the Lead jet did not finish
+Spots enemy air
+Keeps enemy air off of the Lead jet
+calling out formations

Some quick things to note:

The lead and jet gunner should both:
-Yell "brake" or "brake off" to disengage a target and/or move out of a lock zone.
-should orient themselves with each other so that they are in good distance to each other
-Should utilize formations

Some quick formations:

String formation:
-Lead jet sets up a strafing run on a target and the Finishing jet keeps a similar speed around 50m away.

Wing even formation:
-Both lead jet and Finishing jet spread out a little more than a wings distance apart during a strafing run.

Wing staggered formation:
-Lead jet is both in front and to the side of the finishing jet. This should be used for low altitude run.

Recon formation:
-Jets stay in a string formation, however they circle the outskirts of the map instead of strafing with their eyes facing the inside. Spotting tanks, fast moving ground vehicles and even other air vehicles. Should only be utilized when in need of a recovery or in need of new spots.





In an Ideal game, the Lead jet calls out the formations and sets up strafing runs or recon runs.

I like it a lot. This is going to be really good to use, i think even mixing it up, so the lead jet has guided missile, and finishing jet has rocket pods. With guided missiles you sacrifice range, so it's actually the finishing jet that will start engagement, lead jet will land his missile, either killing it or seriously damaging it enough for the finishing jets second missile pod volley

Was a very nice video. Too bad you can't have that on the PS3 though... There's just not enough action on jet heavy maps.

Yeah we were actually completely devastating every round we got in the air together.
