A Jet whore such as my self should use this set up when playing Defense on Rush, here it goes.

Defensive Set-up:
-Beam Scanning
I honestly use this almost every time. It will make strafing runs such an easy task to do.

-Guided Missile
Some of you may find this ineffective but when used right, its very powerful and will take out tanks in seconds.
The best way to use this baby is get enough altitude and distance from the tank, make sure you spot the tank to, As soon as that missile goes for the tank aim down 45 Degrees or a bit lower or gravity will take your life, spray the MG all the way (Try not to miss it) The missile will do ~40% damage thats when the MG will finish the tank off and get you a double kill.

-ECM Jammer
The upside to this is that it has a low number of reloading time, you can probably use it twice in 40 seconds. This thing will increase your strafing runs when the enemy team uses stingers.

Attacking Set-up:
Same stuff except for the Guided Missile.

-Rocket Pods
This will help your team push forward and destroy buildings much faster, it also offers suppressive effect on targets on the ground.

-IR Flares
This will help you last longer, make sure its ready to deploy when doing another strafing run.

Conquest:
My favorite mode for Jets, Don't bother taking out tanks in this game mode because your Jets travel faster and don't have that 'heavy' feeling when piloting Jets in Rush.

-Beam Scanning
As explained before, this perk will get pilots off guard because they will think your heat seekers can't lock on for another 2-3 seconds

-Heat Seekers
Most pilots will launch both missiles, thats a mistake right there because experience pilots will pop flares causing you to miss, to avoid this launch only one rocket, when he pops flares you still have 1 rocket left which will do ~30%-35% damage finish him off with your MG.

-IR Flares
Use it to avoid enemy stingers and heat seekers

Tips
- When in a dog fight go for the sun, this will cause the idiot to lose track of you
- Hold L2 to make sharper turns
- When your flares are still reloading and a rocket is coming at you, turn on those afterburners and do a sharp turn, this surprisingly causes the rocket to miss.
