what tv you got...
A Vizio from 2008.
Oh... I was going to say Samsung, LG and Sony have game/pc mode which takes out input lag. Don't know anything about Vizio
Oh, I'm planning on getting a new tv soon anyways so I'll give those brands a look. Vizio sucks. You have to manually adjust the contrast, sharpness etc because in game mode it looks like trash. Maybe it's because it's from 2008 or maybe not but I'm not going to look at that brand again.
Plasma = Panasonic
LCD/LED = Samsung, LG and Sony bravia in that order.
You need to see which has the lowest response time.
A good tv for gaming shouldn't have anything over 5ms response time.
Plasma has next to none, but i'm still weary of image retention or screen burn. They say the top brands of new plasmas have solved the problem.
Plasma is also the most costly to run due to their power consumption. If you pay bills.
I'm doing research on them now because I'm after a new one.
I'm 75% sure I'll go for a 42" LED Samsung
